The Division of Orthopaedics at UMC Healthcare Partners Southwest Orthopaedic Clinic provides the most comprehensive orthopedic care, including shoulder surgery, knee and hip reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and sports medicine.

Dr. Carlos Gonzalez specializes in established conventional procedures and the latest medical technology with a state-of-the-art medical facility to provide his patients with the best possible outcome.

With in-house physical therapists, Southwest Orthopaedic’s highly skilled staff will guide you on your road to recovery.

Appointment Check List:

When you come for your appointment please remember to obtain and bring the following:

• Drivers License or a valid ID
• Insurance information
• Referral Letter (if required)
• Reports, X-rays, MRI’s, CT scans etc and any other relevant information
• List of medications (if any)

If you need to cancel your appointment please notify the office within 24 hr. If a patient does not cancel their appointment and does not attend their appointment they will be charged a $25.00 no call/no show fee for the missed appointment.

We recognize that your time is valuable, and we make every effort to run on time. Occasionally emergencies or patients require a little more time, and these cause scheduling delays beyond our control. We apologize if we keep you waiting.

Carlos Gonzalez, MD, MBA

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Southwest Orthopaedic Clinic

Dr. Carlos Gonzalez joins UMC Healthcare Partners as an orthopaedic surgeon with Southwest Orthopaedic Clinic. He graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2004 and went on to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2009. Folllowing his residency, Dr. Gonzalez then went on to complete three fellowships: (Clinical Research Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN; Shoulder Surgery and Sports Medicine Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital; and an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Emory University Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital). He also completed his Master of Business Administration at Emory University, Goizueta Business School. His practice location is located at Southwest Orthopaedic Clinic, 1540 N Zaragoza.
